As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Docutech Ghana has demonstrated its commitment towards education by donating ten brand new Lenovo laptop computers to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi in support of the "Support One Needy Student with One Laptop (SONSOL). Project". The presentation of the laptops was made by the Company’s General Manager, Mr. Joe Alhassan, and Projects Manager, Mr. Welbeck Edem Egbenu, to the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, on 14th July 2023.

During the event, Mr. Alhassan highlighted Docutech's expertise in providing IT solutions, including furniture, network infrastructure, and electrical layouts, using the latest high-quality and innovative technologies available on the market while ensuring excellent value for money. He further expressed his satisfaction with the University's outstanding performance and global reputation, pledging the Company's support for the University.

Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, the Vice-Chancellor, emphasised KNUST's commitment to nurturing holistic future leaders as the country's leading science and technology university. She acknowledged the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which prompted KNUST to adopt a hybrid teaching and learning approach incorporating virtual and in-person methods. This necessitated the SONSOL Project, aimed at equipping needy students with laptops to ensure their active participation in the online teaching and learning.
Professor (Mrs.) Akosua Dickson expressed her gratitude to Docutech for their contribution to the University. She assured the delegation that KNUST would distribute the laptops to eligible students who meet the required criteria. Additionally, the Vice-Chancellor encouraged the Management of Docutech Ghana to continue supporting KNUST.
